Your First Stop for Wellness: Care Level 2 at Lawrence Community Care

“Care Level 2” services at Lawrence Community Care are designed for individuals with urgent conditions that require prompt attention but typically do not necessitate an emergency room visit. This level of care aims to provide efficient and effective treatment for a range of common health concerns.

Conditions treated under Care Level 2 include:

  • Mild Asthma: This encompasses cases of asthma where nebulizer procedures can effectively manage symptoms, providing relief and helping patients breathe more easily.
  • Bladder Infection: For bladder infections, Care Level 2 includes urinalysis for diagnosis and appropriate treatment, helping to alleviate discomfort and prevent further complications.
  • Bronchitis: Patients suffering from bronchitis can receive care at this level, which also includes nebulizer procedures to help clear airways and ease breathing.
  • Dog Bite or Cat Bite: Not all animals are sweet and cuddly. Animal bites can be serious if not treated properly. This care includes wound assessment, cleaning, bandaging and treatment.
  • Mild Burn: Mild burns are treated under Care Level 2, with services such as burn dressing and the application of topical creams as needed to promote healing and reduce pain.
  • Sprain or Strain: For muscle sprains and strains, the care provided at this level includes evaluation and the application of wraps to support the affected area and aid in recovery.
  • Strep Throat: Diagnosis and treatment for strep throat are covered, which typically involves a throat swab to confirm the infection and subsequent medical management.
